Description of Action

The Administration has identified necessary budget appropriations and adjustments among the City Funds that are necessary and appropriate for completion of the City’s current fiscal year.  These budget adjustments include (2) loan advance repayments (Water Fund and Pier Fund), as well as funding for the City’s increased cost of employee health insurance and the City’s Defined Benefit Pension plan.

Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary

Allocations result in a net increase (added funding availability) in the General Fund – Contingency Account due to a reduction and reallocation of planned OPEB retiree Trust contributions.  City business Enterprise Funds and using a portion of their Unappropriated Net Assets for funding of increased staff health and retirement costs.
